Recognizing Care Ministers

On Sunday, February 16th, we recognized and celebrated our Congregational Care Ministers during worship: Marlena Regier, Kay Zimmerman, Jana Koehn, Bunny Byrd, Pat Johnson, Gene Johnson, Phil Durr and Judy Reimer.

Our Care Ministers are volunteers specifically trained to serve alongside our pastors and staff, making hospital visits, praying, listening and providing one-on-one comfort and encouragement to our congregation. They connect monthly with members who are homebound and in nursing care and assist our pastors with offering communion.

At McPherson First, we are committed to the healing ministries of the church by providing care for the church and community and creating a culture that values Christ-like care, vulnerability, authenticity, and the power of prayer.
