Today we hear two stories about Jesus breaking social barriers to help people in need - a Roman officer’s servant and a widow's son. These stories from Luke’s gospel show how God’s love extends to everyone, regardless of their background or status. Through the Narrative Lectionary, we continue exploring how Jesus challenged and changed his world. And in these stories we are invited to have eyes like Jesus, to truly see others and respond in compassion.
