Join us for a viewing of the thought-provoking documentary "1946: The Mistranslation That Shifted Culture" on June 8 at 3:00 PM. This documentary follows researchers who investigate how specific Bible translation decisions in 1946 influenced Christian perspectives on LGBTQIA+ individuals, based on discoveries in Yale University archives. After the screening, we'll host a guided conversation exploring the film's significance for faith communities today. Co-hosted by McPherson Social Outreach League (McPherson SOL) and McPherson First United Methodist Church, this event creates space for respectful dialogue about complex questions of scripture, tradition, and inclusion. Please RSVP through our online form below to help us prepare the appropriate space for attendance. Questions? Contact Rev. Andrew Conard at andrew.conard@mcphersonfirst.org or Kieryn McCann (kmccann@mceid.com) from McPherson SOL.
